Just a note.
I find myself diving into multiple projects, all of them I’m stoked about and the passion is there. To say this is actually progress if you look at my last blog post, Keepin the Dream Alive, from a season of complete exhaustion. I actually believe (most days) that my dreams will come to pass. I’m more of a doer, less of a talker. My latest endeavor is to do print modeling. Like I have this thought everyday “Can I just quit my job and model clothes???” So why not take the steps that are in my control to make it happen? I envision Em FITT Personal Training running with overflowing abundance at the same time…so maybe I won’t quit my job just yet! I think big, God is a big God! I know this to be true, without vision the people perish. This is from Proverbs 29:18. That is just the first part of the verse, the second part mentions those who obey are joyful.
18. Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]—blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.
I think we like to take half of scripture and make it play into our lives how we see fit. I know I do at times. The enemy of our soul is about getting us to believe half truths and twisting God’s word so that we believe and live a lie. I see so much BS out there on social media with scripture being thrown around and used in funky ways. For instance: the bible talks about sex, of course because it’s part of His design. Then someone takes a goofy picture and ties a piece of scripture to it having to do with sexuality. So what’s the story behind that verse that you are using in a perverted way? If there is anything that gets me fired up it’s the spirit of perversion. It makes me sick and i have no tolerance for it. Bottom line is people are hurting and God’s character somehow along the way gets skewed by assumptions being made from lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6
When God’s character is based off our life’s experience without the word of God in our hearts conclusions are drawn that can be so far from the truth. It goes a little something like this: Why would the God of love do something so unloving like that…? What blows my mind is that the when the most ‘intelligent’ people seek out to prove Jesus and the Bible to be wrong they find that history proves it to be true. They end up becoming spirit filled believers, world changers. All you doubters out there who hold tight to your ‘opinions’, you are world changers!! Who are you serving? Have you really done your research? Could the God of all consuming love and redemption wreck your mind and heart with his love and mercy? Could it all really be true? All of it? Don’t let the enemy steal your destiny of abundant life!! John 10:10
Seek God and dare to be different. One step at a time toward Him, walk on the water. Cliche yes, but I don’t really care because I know that I know this is where true freedom is!! Jesus make me brave! Jesus make me bold! Lord send me!
Wrapping up. The point of all this is vision. We need vision to keep going. Life gets messy and obstacles pop up. It’s super easy to make up excuses and have a defeated mentality. These things happen so we can overcome through Christ in the midst of adversity. So go after your dreams my friend and use these three principles to stay on course.

Stop and rest– this is where God plants the vision, restores and gives instruction on how to go forward. aka- step away from the project. Hebrews 4:1-3, Psalm 62:5, Amos 7, Isaiah 57:18, Matthew 14:23

Take action, obey God– this is where you step out in faith, out of your comfort zone into the unknown John 5:8, John 15:4-8, Matthew 14:27-32
